Food at Halibut House is always the best. Had the Sunday special Halibut with fries and coleslaw. Enjoyed the fried mushrooms appetizer a lot.
Halibut House has become one of our family's favorite meet-ups in Alliston. We love the food, and the atmosphere is laid back. We meet here for special occasions because it's not too expensive and we never feel rushed to leave. The cheesecake and coffee are great for a treat!
We ordered halibut and COD, with only 1 dollar difference, it is recommended to order the COD. The COD is really good comparing to halibut. The poutine is streaming hot and the cheese can be melted smoothly, onion ring is a little bit too thin but still better than most fast food restaurants. Only downside is there are some guys peeking into our car in the parking, you need to keep an eye out on your car in here.
Very delicious halibut, fries and coleslaw (I usually hate coleslaw but this is good). Came in on a Monday at 8PM and was pleasantly surprised that there was a Sunday & Monday Halibut Special for 7 (1 pc of Halibut, big portion of fries, and coleslaw). Staff are very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back!
Was surprised, didn't want to go at first as one in other location is horrible, my daughter wanted to go, so we went , Service was excellent, fast lunch very tasty, i would go back to this location for sure when i visit this town again.
Impressed by this Fish and Chip restaurant. Good selection of dishes at reasonable prices. Staff was great and the place was clean. An interesting back story of how this business started. Would definitely go again.
I had Greek salad rice and chicken, it was actually my first time ordering that kind of combo from there. I didn’t know how it was going to tase but it did blew my mind, everything was so fresh and delicious and infact I was so chuffed.. I always get their fish and fries. I have always been very happy with ANY Halibut House location. I love fish and chips. But I'm writing this review today because it's the first time I had ever tried the battered mushrooms. WOW! I was expecting small button mushrooms. I ordered take out. When I opened the box, they were eight large mushrooms, a great batter and good ranch dipping sauce as well. I think another time I might consider just getting the mushrooms for a meal. I was really impressed.
